  11. I have just installed a 28k ext modem and it suffers from a few
  12. problems:

  14. 1.  win95 often takes two attempts to get it to respond when dislling
  15. out, suggesting that I turn the modem off and on again to get it
  16. working.

  18. 2. The modem does not respond to the disconnect command and the
  19. diconnecting dialogue box stays on screen.
  20.  
  21. 3. I can hear the answering modem negotiating with this modem and then
  22. the speaker goes quiet when connection is achieved. The Dial up
  23. Networking post dial termibal screen appears but no text appears and
  24. the modem lights indicate nothing is getting transferred.

  26. Any Ideas?
